2010 Leadership Academy
Thank you to all who applied for the 2010 Leadership Academy. We are no longer accepting applications, and will be notifying all applicants this week regarding their status.
The 2010 Leadership Academy is for people interested in learning how to be effective advocates for children and families in your community and around the state. Participants will build their leadership, advocacy and communication skills and learn how to bring children and their families to the forefront of policy in order to create change.
The nine-session Leadership Academy is free, but is limited to only 12 participants. The program is designed to be interactive, comprehensive and rewarding with a curriculum that ranges from leadership skills to thoughtful analysis of public policy. In addition, each participant will design an individual community improvement project and, with guidance from CAA staff and advisors, will present a plan to tackle their policy issue.
All sessions will be held at the Children’s Action Alliance office - 4001 N 3rd St, Suite 160, Phoenix (just south of Indian School Road) - from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. A light dinner will be provided.
